If you live alone, “My pet is home alone” card can be very useful in case of an emergency. Whether you own cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rats, or any other pet, you can use this emergency card!
Why is this card useful?
If there’s ever a situation when you’re unwell and can’t come home to care for your pets, people can get in touch with your emergency contact written on the card. This way, your pets will be cared for until you can get home! Always choose a person you can trust as your emergency contact because your pets might depend on them!
How to use “My Pet Is Home Alone” card?
- Download the PDF below and print the pages you need. If, for example, you only have rabbits, you can print the page for rabbit owners. If your have more than one type of pet, you can use the general “My Pets Are Home Alone” card.
- Write all the necessary info inside the empty fields.
- Cut around the card and fold it in half to create a front and back.
- You can use scotch tape to make it more durable.
- Voila! Your card is ready and you can put it in your wallet or a purse so you always have it with you.
The card contains the following fields you need to fill out:
- your name and address
- name and a phone number of your emergency contact
- vet info
This card covers:
- cats
- dogs
- rabbits
- guinea pigs
- rats
- mice
- hamsters
- birds
- all other types of pets with a more general card!

Hi!! I’ve recently come upon your website, let me just say how wonderful it is! So much information! I love reading as much information as possible about my pets so I’m loving your site! Anyways, I’m going to download a few of these cards. But I also have Degus, a turtle and Axolotls! Could you make a printable card for those three as well? I would be so appreciative!
OR one card to cover all my pets! I have many. Dogs (one is in her senior years and takes daily medications), cats, mice, rat, turtle, fish, Degus and Axolotls.. So it may be easier on my wallet if I had one card to cover all my fur babies instead of eight!

I think this is a fantastic idea. Myself being a senior at 74 y.o. I have some health problems. If I suddenly go in the hospital I would need someone take care of my pets till I come home.
