Animated Movies With Guinea Pigs

G-Force

G-Force was released in 2009 and revolves around a team of secret agent guinea pigs named Darwin, Blaster, and Juarez and their helpers, a mole and a fly. Their mission is to stop a crazy millionaire from taking over the world. A fourth guinea pig named Hurley joins their team along the way in the quest to save the world. 

You’ll see that this film is a great representation of guinea pigs’ lovable characteristics and quirks.

The Secret Life of Pets 1 & 2

The Secret Life of Pets is an animated film released in 2016 about the lives of pets when their owners are not at home.

The movie features a fearless guinea pig named Norman as one of the main characters. Norman also appears in The Secret Life of Pets 2 as a supporting character.

The Bad Guys

The Bad Guys is a comedy film released in 2022. It’s based on the New York Times best-seller children’s book series of the same name.

The story is about a criminal team consisting of a wolf, snake, piranha, shark, and a tarantula who need to become model citizens after being caught to avoid prison. The gang’s mentor is an adorable but arrogant guinea pig named Professor Rupert Marmalade, who wants to help them become the good guys in the eyes of the public.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania

If you’re looking for fun PG or G rated Halloween movies featuring guinea pigs, try Transformania. It is the final film in the Hotel Transylvania film series and was released in 2022. In the movie, Van Helsion’s mysterious invention transforms Dracula and his friends into humans and Johnny into a monster. They need to find a way to revert before the transition becomes permanent.

Gigi is Van Helsing’s pet guinea pig who transforms into a monster twice her normal size and continues to grow. She likes to bite people’s hands and becomes more and more violent and hostile as she grows.

Gnomeo and Juliet

In the movie Gnomeo and Juliet, guinea pigs are friends of the main characters named Gnomeo and Juliet who are garden gnomes, and they often accompany them on their adventures. 

The film is a retelling of Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet”.

Wonder Pets!

Wonder Pets! is an American animated children’s television series released in 2006. It follows three elementary school classroom pets – Linny the Guinea Pig, Turtle Tuck, and Ming-Ming Duckling. Linny, the 5-year-old guinea pig, is the pack leader and wears a blue superhero cape and an orange cap. This friendly trio rescues baby animals while emphasizing the importance of teamwork.

Non-animated Movies With Guinea Pigs

Dr. Dolittle

In the movie, Dr. Dolittle, a vet who realizes he can speak to animals, gives a guinea pig named Rodney to his daughter as a gift. Dr. Dolittle doesn’t pay much attention to Rodney who is kept in less than ideal conditions. Rodney is the second animal to start talking to Dr. Dolittle and he occasionally plays a small role in the comedic relief of the film.

Rodney is portrayed by a real guinea pig with the help of special effects for scenes where he speaks.

Bedtime Stories

Bedtime Stories is a family fantasy-comedy film starring Adam Sandler and Keri Russell. The story is about Skeeter Bronson, a hotel handyman whose life is changed forever when the bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to mysteriously come true.

Bugsy is a loved family pet with extremely big eyes. He was portrayed by a real guinea pig and replaced with a stuffed prop where possible. His big eyes and other enhancements such as dreadlocks were computer-generated.
